New Digital Video Camera
So we bought a new digital video camera tonight at Target. Technically I think we justified the purchase by calling it my wife's birthday present. I think it's going to be fun having this thing for capturing stuff with our kids—and, of course, videoblogging. Look at me, I'm videoblogging! Too vlogs in a row! Woo-hoo! Anyway, here's the details: It's the Point & Shoot Video Camcorder from PureDigital. (Note: $20 mail-in rebat good now through August 15, 2006.) Here's a review from Engadget. According to Real Simple magazine (which is where Becky heard about it), "It's pocket-size, so easy to use, and utterly addictive." We'll see about that!
[BTW—the poor quality at the beginning of the video (above) is not the camera; it happened after I converted the video from AVI to MPEG-4 using iMovie (is there a better way to do that on a Mac?) and uploaded it to Google.]
