Low Is to Mormons As Over the Rhine Is to Christians
(I know, Mormons think they are Christians—that's another subject altogether ...)
Minnesota Stories is an interesting videoblog that I just discovered this week because it's nominated in the 2005 Weblog Awards. (What?! I wasn't nominated?!) Anyway, Minnesota Stories appears to include regular vlogs from multiple contributors, which I think is a great idea. The latest post is a behind-the-scenes video of the band Low practicing John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" with a backing "choir." Low is led by the husband-wife duo of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker, who are Mormons. (In case you're not familiar: Over the Rhine is led by the husband-wife duo of Linford Detweiler and Karin Berquist, who are Christians.) Anyway, check out Minnesota Stories. Good stuff.

i'm a (christian) missionary living & working in nairobi, kenya. i wish i had a fast enough connection to even try to view the video thing.
i love low & used to like over the rhine. (more just bored with the latter.) i nevr knew that low are mormons. i saw them about 3 yrs ago & they were one of the few concerts that needed no ear protection... nice!
