A Little Web 2.0 Lovin'
There's been a lot of buzz about "Web 2.0" (the next wave of Internet innovation that's coming—and some that's already here). Here's just a couple new sites being touted as some of the Best of Web 2.0:
Squidoo — From the genius of Seth Godin, who "recognizes that now the web has to organize better around topics" (says Jeff Jarvis). Topics (or "lens," as Godin calls them) is the focus, if you will, of Squidoo. I've been a beta-tester on the site for a short period of time, and I've created one lens so far (using content from one of my more definitive and popular blog posts). Go check it out and see what you think of Squidoo.
YackPack — Somehow Nick Ciske is able to discover all of these great sites before I do, and this is just the latest example of that phenomenon. The concept behind YackPack is essentially "simple, web-based voice messaging for groups." Nick calls it "social networking crossed with voicemail"—but he also sees the potential in YackPack to exponentially grow the podcasting community. We'll see what happens. Only time will tell.
