Karen Ward on the Emergent Movement
Karen Ward, pastor of Church of the Apostles in Seattle, Wash., gives a beautiful and eloquent description of the Emergent movement nationally, as well as what it looks like in her context. Some of she describes sounds very similar to what God is doing here in Charlotte, NC.
I encourage ya'll to watch and listen and envision the picture Karen describes. If you're wondering and questioning this whole Emergent/emerging church thing, let this soak in a little bit and then let's talk. Post a comment/question, and I'd love to dialogue with anyone about it. (Thanks to Doug for posting the video!)
