Hey, We're 50!

Charlotte Cohort Co-organizers Steve Knight and Anthony SmithWell, actually, 51 now. I was planning to post an announcement when our Emerging Church Discussion Group here in Charlotte reached 50 members—but, by the time I got around to writing this, another person had joined the group! So we are now tied with the Missional Leaders Network in Phoenix for the title of third largest Indie Allies Meetup in the country. Look out, Indianapolis, we're coming for ya!

It's been exciting to see this group explode over the past few months. The message board has just been lit up with great discussions on topics such as racial diversity, authority in the church, and church membership. We've literally had new people joining the group every week—and they (Will!!!) haven't even added a link to us from the Emergent cohorts page yet!

God is doing something in our midst: building His church, the body of Christ, here in Charlotte, NC. All glory and honor and praise be to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Our next Meetup is Tuesday, June 14. I hope to see you there!
