GodBlogCon 1 Coming Soon?
Hugh Hewitt has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged "Rick Warren or some other far seeing pastor with a big facility and conference organizing experience" to put together a conference on "blogging and the Church." Andrew Jackson—a pastor on staff at a Mesa, Arizona mega-church (not the former president risen from the dead)—has answered the call. The tentative date is October something. Hopefully Hewitt and Glenn Reynolds will attend. I'm personally hoping for Jeff Jarvis. (He's a "faith-based" blogger too, ya know!?)
As of this post, 53 people had expressed interest in attending. I'm definitely one of them, although time and money are always factors. We'll see what happens. Until then, I'm hoping more bloggers will show up for the IE-21st Century conference, April 1-2 at Liberty University in Virginia. The stellar blog panel has already been confirmed, and there will be a lunch gathering for bloggers on Saturday, April 2, as well. So don't wait for October—register now to attend IE-21C in April!
