I Wish I'd Thought of That!
... Oh wait, I did. As my former BGEA co-workers can attest, I had this idea two years ago to create a website dedicated to accepting people's unused gift cards and re-allocate the funds to non-profit organizations (and maybe a little would go in my pocket, as well, alright?). Well, Kevin Hendricks informs me that GiftCardGiver.com is now live and accepting gift card donations!
Considering the fact that an estimated $2 billion dollars went unspent on gift cards in 2003 (according to some publication called The Wall Street Journal), millions of people (you know who you are) are just giving stores and manufacturers free money left and right. Imagine what could be done if even a fraction of that money would be put to good use?!
Yeah, GiftCardGiver.com. That was my idea. But I'm only one man. I can't do everything. I'm glad somebody's doing it, though.
[Thanks for dashing my Internet start-up dreams, Kevin!]
