Breaking the Silence

I think it's time to break the blogging silence. I know I warned that I might be cutting back in my one-year anniversary blog post, and that was maybe more prophetic than anything. I have been feeling the tug to pull back, but life events—traveling for work, then taking vacation and spending Thanksgiving with my family, followed by bouts with the stomach flu and the common cold—have just necessitated that I do so. But now I'm back. Yeehaw!

A few things I'm really thankful for these days (definitely not a comprehensive list):

  • A marriage relationship renewed of passion and intimacy. Nine years and still rockin'!

  • The love and support of a church community whose mission I can be sold-out to.

  • The new BGEA headquarters that we're officially moved into and working in now. It's a beautiful building in a beautiful setting. Should be a lot of fun.

  • Reality TV shows, which is all I really watch on TV anymore (other than football ... and the news ... and Jeopardy when Ken Jennings was still on ... and Oprah when she has the cast of Seinfeld on ... and ... OK nevermind).

  • The new worship album from Dan Scott and Jon Reine. I'm listening to 8 semi-mixed incredible tracks (thanks, Blaine/Russ!), and lovin' (and worshipping) every minute.

Congrats Steve.

Seminary is going okay.

I'm feeling ya on the cutting back part. I've been suffering after the election with my studies because of my over-blogging.

But I have been blessed in my studies. Please give my bests to your family.
