Give Someone a Hug Today
Well, I'm back from L.A. The Billy Graham Crusade out there was amazing. As my wrap-up article states, this was most likely his final large open-air stadium crusade ever. Pretty historic. It was truly an honor to be a part of it.
Held just a few days before Thanksgiving, there were several references to today's holiday during the Crusade. My favorite comment (which didn't make it into the article) came from mega-pastor and mega-author Rick Warren: "Thanks and giving go together. Well, duh!"
BTW—Rick Warren hugged me—twice! My parents are very proud. And I must say, despite whatever negative things I might've said about him in the past, Rick Warren sure is a good hugger. I would go so far as to say he is one of the pioneers of the "generation of huggers" that Billy Graham referred to (in one funny comment) during the Crusade.
Happy Thanks and Giving, ya'll. Give someone a hug today!
