Stassen's Bush Bash Stymied?
As Justin Taylor pointed out to me, I had earlier linked “approvingly” to Glen Stassen’s article in the PRISM E-pistle which argued that abortion rates had gone up during W’s presidency. Justin further pointed out that the National Right to Life Committee had since refuted Stassen’s claims.
Well, Justin has an interesting dialogue going on his blog with Professor Stassen over his claims and the subsequent rebuttals—which is a prime example of what I love about the Web and blogs in particular. Anyone interested can get quickly up to speed here:

I hate to say it, but I don't think that JT's posts were that laudatory. I tried to post a thorough response to his friend's supply-sider/voodoo-economics rantings that the best way to help the poor is more tax-cuts for the wealthy, but its not going up at his website.
I don't see any convincing evidence that the statistical correlations between anti-poverty measures and abortions are misleading.
As such, being anti-poverty should definitely be a plank in any truly pro-life platform.
