- Tuesday, Oct. 5—Studio 242 Monthly Gathering at Warehouse 242 in Charlotte, 7 p.m., $0 (Everything is free. The coffee. The conversation. My wife, Becky, and I will be there talking about Studio 242 and what is happening to celebrate and encourage creativity and the arts at Warehouse 242. So come hang out with us!)
- Thursday, Oct. 7—Derek Webb and Sandra McCracken with The Offering at The Neighborhood Theatre, 7 p.m., $13 in advance / $17 at the door (I have it from a reliable source that Webb will be performing old favorites as well as new songs from his next album, I See Things Upside Down, coming out in November!)
- Tuesday, Oct. 12—Indie Allies MeetUp at Caribou Coffee on East Blvd., 8 p.m. - ?, $0 (But, of course, bring money for whatever Caribou treats you intend to imbibe/injest)
- UPDATED! Monday, Oct. 18—Bill Mallonnee with Dan Hood at The Neighborhood Theatre, 7 p.m., $10
- Friday, Oct. 29—Psalters at The Well in Pineville, 8:30 p.m., $0 (But bring money for coffee and a donation to help the Psalters get to their next gig!)
- UPDATED! Saturday, Oct. 30—The Violet Burning at The Well in Pineville, 9 p.m., FREE ($10 suggested donation / $15 if you bring a friend)
- Tuesday, Nov. 2—Psalters at the Studio 242 Monthly Gathering at Warehouse 242, 7 p.m., $0 (Be sure to VOTE early and then come to Studio 242! And bring more money to give to Psalters!)
- UPDATED! Friday-Sunday, Nov. 5-7—J.A.V.A. Fest, featuring Andy Squyres (among others), visual arts, late-night labyrinth experience, storytellers and poets, etc. at The Well in Pineville, FREE (But bring money for coffee and a donation to help cover the costs to put this on!)
