Who Will Be President?

The Week magazineWell, God only knows, but ... Check out Jeff Jarvis' liveblogging from The Week magazine's panel discussion featuring Mario Cuomo, Dick Morris, Joe Trippi, and Frank Newport from Gallup, with appearances by Russell Simmons, (a rather "athletic" looking) Holly Hunter, Michael Dukakis, and others. Fascinating group of politicians, strategists, and celebrities. Fascinating discussion. Especially Trippi's prediction: "By 2008 you will see a real third party emerge in this country." That's great news for my friend, The Anti-Manicheist. Hang in there, David—four more years (wink)!

We really do need to come to terms with the politics of abortion and end this heterosexual marriage constitutional amendment nonsense before the US will be ripe for the development of a viable third party system.

It'd sure be nice if people would join me over at the Anti-Manicheist to debate these things.
