I'm a Jeopardy Watcher
Game show contestant Ken Jennings will be going for $1 million this week on Jeopardy, and I'll be watching every minute of it! I recently came through a Wheel of Fortune phase, and now I'm hooked on Jeopardy — thanks to Ken's fascinating domination of the game.
One wonders, however, if Ken could've won $1 million in just one or two appearances (instead of his month-long stint on Jeopardy) if he had only auditioned for Millionaire instead. I guess we'll never know ... unless, of course, Ken tries out for Millionaire next!
All I can say is, "Go, Ken, go!"
UPDATE 7/13: Ken has now broken the $1 million mark, and he's still going. He's also got numerous media appearances this week. He tells the New York Post, "I always talked about trying out for 'Jeopardy!' but I kept going back to my practical office job that payed the bills. As it turned out I finally did do the thing I dreamed about — and it's brought me more happiness and financial reward than doing the safe, practical thing." If only it worked out so well for every dream-pursuer ...
