Hooked on Products
It's official — I'm a postmodern/emerging church junkie. I spotted this on Maiken's blog, and I just had to have it.
Just look into N.T.'s deep, dark eyes. Isn't he just beckoning you to order his three-DVD set and become a Regent "WebSpecials" subscriber and get 20% more off the already low sale price?!
I remember watching Jesus the New Way with a college group at the University of Minnesota, and I've been a "fan" of N.T. Wright ever since. CT recently had a good interview with N.T., BTW.
Now just think, only 2-3 weeks from today, those DVDs will be arriving at my door ... (Sigh.) I need to detox ...
UPDATE 6/15: These Bud Light parody ads from the Emergent Convetion are pretty well-done and pretty dang funny. I don't know if I'm smart enough or well-read enough to be a true "Purveryor of All Things Postmodern," but I do know that "Creative Artist-Type" and "Senior Pastor" are hilarious. Give a listen ...
