Is Jaci Velasquez a Righteous Fox, Or What?

Righteous FoxDoug LeBlanc is praising Dallas Morning News religion writer Susan Hogan/Albach for her recent report on music piracy among Christian youth. Frankly, when Hogan/Albach was writing for St. Paul Pioneer Press, I wasn't really that impressed.

But anyway, LeBlanc likes her lede and the quote from Christian Latin diva Jaci Velasquez, "We can't be like Christina Aguilera and get all attitudy. We're supposed to be like Christ and turn the other cheek." (Boy, I've got a Jaci story of my own ... but then again, who doesn't?)

LeBlanc issues a few missives to his readers that I want to encourage ya'll to ponder:

  • If you had to fill an 80-minute CD with CCM that was musically hip or designed to save souls (or both), could you do it? Complete playlists are welcome.

  • Can anyone top "Panheads" as a nickname for fans of a specific CCM band?

  • Is Jaci Velasquez a righteous fox, or what?

Go to GetReligion to post your responses. (Or post them here, whatever.)

I'm glad you're able to keep track of Susan Hogan/Albach's career as a religion reporter. Just make sure you keep Blaine in the loop about her, as well. He's always been fascinated by her insight.
