Good Luck, Universal!
Universal Music Group home to U2, Eminem (right), and Shania Twain (among others) has announced they are going to raise the price of their CDs by $1. Now, granted this comes just three months after they dropped the suggested retail price of their CDs from a whopping $18.98 to $12.98 but let's not be fooled, $13.98 is still too much to pay for a CD.
I honestly can't remember what the last CD was that I bought at a bricks'n'mortar store. (My wife recently bought Dave Matthews, but I wasn't involved in that purchase not that there's anything wrong with it ...) I think the majority of my future music purchases will be digital via iTunes or some other online medium, like an individual artist's website, etc. And that's the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) I like it (uh-huh, uh-huh).
