Best New Artist Nominee: Mindy Smith
"Morning Edition" on NPR had an interview this morning with a new artist named Mindy Smith. In the interview, Smith talks about being the daughter of a minister, why she's not a "Christian" artist, the death of her mother, her song "Come to Jesus," and more.
She sounds like a good songwriter with that barebones, folk style that I'm pretty fond of. I'm definitely interested in getting her debut CD, "One Moment More." And it looks like she'll be at the Grey Eagle in Asheville on Feb. 22. Hmmm ...
